Enhancing Employee Collaboration with a Secure SharePoint and Microsoft Teams Deployment

CASE STUDY SINGLE POST NEW

SHIP (Services and Housing in the Province) promotes Healthy Housing™ by advocating with landlords and developers for mental and physical health services through in-house service teams and partnerships with community-based agencies.

SITUATION
CrucialLogics was referred to SHIP for their experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. SHIP was looking to apply a content management and collaboration strategy to their existing Microsoft 365 environment that followed best practices and improved their security and compliance posture while connecting and engaging employees by providing a centralized platform for company
news and information. SHIP also wanted to establish a corporate intranet on SharePoint Online that would also be accessible through Microsoft Teams.

SOLUTION
CrucialLogics assessed SHIP’s existing content repositories, classified and structured their content, and established a governance plan for content lifecycles and data management. Additionally, CrucialLogics was responsible for designing and implementing a new corporate intranet that allowed easy access to company news, announcements, policies, onboarding material, and links to other commonly used systems. Furthermore, CrucialLogics migrated 1 TB of content into SHIP’s new SharePoint architecture and built adaptive forms while implementing automation to streamline business processes. Overall, CrucialLogics was an ideal partner for SHIP because of its expertise in content management, intranet design, and automation and its ability to deliver solutions that met SHIP’s needs.

RESULTS
The engagement resulted in a highly successful migration project, marked by a smooth and well-planned process with clear deadlines and responsibilities. With new systems and technologies implemented, staff members could easily embrace this change, thanks to comprehensive and efficient training that made the transition seamless. The team members worked collaboratively to resolve technical issues, demonstrating their competency and resourcefulness. The project was completed on schedule, resulting in a brand-new system that worked better than the previous one.
